Once people are voted into office, they make decisions on what they think the voters want. But they need to hear from the voters to be sure they make good decisions. We (voters) need to continue to tell our elected officials what we think about issues. They listen when voters speak and you should let them know what you think.
In the US Congress you have three representatives. You have two US Senators and one US Congressman in the House of Representatives. These are the congressmen (congress-persons) that pass laws and provide government funding, on your behalf. It helps for them to receive feedback from the voters, so that they know if they are doing a good job or not. To provide feedback, you can call their offices and leave a message or you can send them an email.
You can use these links to find your US Senator:

You don't need to make the message fancy, just let them know what you think. It's your opinion and your right to be heard. Your congressmen work for you.
